Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship in Disarmament and Non-Proliferation of Weapons of Mass Destruction and Their Delivery Systems

The Simons Postdoctoral Fellowship is open to individuals holding recent doctoral degrees in fields of study convergent with the issues of concern to the Simons Centre and demonstrating outstanding promise for future success as scholars and/or practitioners. This position is filled for the 2008-9 academic year. Simons Student Policy Paper Program

Each year, the Simons Centre offers an opportunity for students from all faculties and disciplines to contribute to the field of disarmament and arms control through the Simons Student Policy Research Program. Upon satisfactory completion, the student receives the sum of $1,000.00 for their paper. In addition, their papers are published in the Journal of International Affairs (JIA) published by the International Relations Students Associations (IRSA) at UBC.

 

Simons Speaker Series

In 2007, the Simons Centre launched a Speaker Series, bringing together local experts as well as internationally renowned scholars and professionals to engage the public in dialogue and raise awareness about various issues in the fields of arms control and non-proliferation, with a focus on the Simons Center’s five issue areas.
